As a data provider, I want to know how many bytes a given request will return so that I can validate software that estimates response sizes when data are stored in compressed form.
We know that both the OLFS and the BES have access to the information that is needed to return this kind of information. Factors that affect the choice of where to put the (new) information:
Does the BES log the access before the response is complete?
Can the BES count the size of a Sequence?
Can the OLFS count the size of response chunks?
